MIDWEST DAFFODIL SOCIETY EVENT CALENDAR 2026
- ZOOM MEETING – Saturday, January 17 at 1 pm CST – Join our own Michael Berrigan for “How to cut, condition and prepare daffodil blooms for a show.” Michael is a nationally renowned speaker on daffodils—you don’t want to miss this! A Zoom link as well as the Horticulture Division on the Schedule will be sent to all members and invited guests a few days before the presentation.
- DAFFODIL SHOW – April 22–25 – American Daffodil Society National Convention. Please refer to our DAFFODIL SHOW page for additional details and references.
- DAFFODIL BULB SALE – October 17- 18, 10am to 4:30pm – Midwest Daffodil Society Bulb Sale at Chicago Botanic Garden, Burnstein Hall. Hundreds of varieties of daffodil bulbs will be available for purchase. Find a vibrant array of unique, rare, and unusual bloom types that offer proven color, hardiness and stability. Plus, daffodil enthusiasts will be on hand ready to offer expert growing tips.
- ANNUAL MEETING – October 25, 1 pm – Midwest Daffodil Society Annual Meeting at Chicago Botanic Garden, Regenstein Center. Join us for our annual meeting where we will discuss the results of the past year and plan for our next Daffodil year. After a brief meeting, we will break for refreshments to give everyone a chance to meet their fellow daffodil enthusiasts. Following that comes our Bulb Giveaway! Every year, the varieties of bulbs available are different, but they are all free to our paid members in an organized giveaway. In addition to bulbs, we encourage members to bring indoor plants, shrubs, perennials and whatever other gardening surprises you would like to offer to your fellow gardeners.
